Close the business day on the till, count every drawer once, and print the Z report.
Steps
- On the till, open MY SHIFT and tap CLOSE THE DAY.
- Check the open orders. Tap Transfer all to move them to the next session so they stay out of today's Z.
- Count each drawer that holds cash. On a shared till you count the till once.
- If the totals do not match, give one reason for the day.
- The Z report prints and you are logged out.
- To print it again later, tap Print Z-Report on MY SHIFT.
Good to know
- Only staff with the close permission see CLOSE THE DAY, usually managers.
- The Z report shows sales, discounts, refunds, VAT, payments by method, the cash drawer (expected, declared and difference), counts per till, voids and refunds, orders carried to the next session, and a per-cashier breakdown.
- Turn on "Print item sales on Z report" in the POS settings to add item sales.
- If nobody closes the day, the Main POS closes it automatically at your day cut-off (06:00 by default). The Z then prints with "AUTO-CLOSED - NOT COUNTED" when the next day opens.
- Z numbers, receipt numbers and credit note numbers come from the Main POS and never repeat.
