Overview
Modifier groups allow you to define optional additions or changes to your menu items, such as "Extra Toppings" for a pizza or "Sauce Choices" for a main course. Each modifier group contains a set of modifier options that customers can select.
How-To Guide
Creating a New Modifier Group
- Navigate to the 'Catalog' section in the sidebar and select 'Modifier Groups'.
- Click the "Add Modifier Group" button.
- Enter the Name (English) for your new modifier group (e.g., "Sauce Choices").
- Optionally, provide a Name (Arabic).
- Set the Minimum Selections (e.g., 0 if optional, 1 if at least one is required).
- Set the Maximum Selections (e.g., 1 for single choice, 0 for unlimited).
- Ensure "Set as Active" is toggled on if you want the group to be available immediately.
- Click "Save Modifier Group".
- After saving the group, you will be able to add Options to it (e.g., "Ketchup", "Mayonnaise", "BBQ Sauce"). For each option, you can define its name, price adjustment, SKU, default quantity, max quantity, and active status.
Editing an Existing Modifier Group
- Navigate to the 'Catalog' section in the sidebar and select 'Modifier Groups'.
- Find the modifier group you wish to edit in the list.
- Click the "Edit" icon (pencil) next to the group name.
- Make the necessary changes to the group's details or its options.
- Click "Save Modifier Group" to apply your changes.
Deleting a Modifier Group
- Navigate to the 'Catalog' section in the sidebar and select 'Modifier Groups'.
- Find the modifier group you wish to delete.
- Click the "Delete" icon (trash can) next to the group name.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted. Deleting a modifier group will disassociate it from any items but will not delete the individual modifier options.
