Overview

Categories help you organize your menu items logically. You can create main categories (e.g., "Appetizers", "Main Courses") and sub-categories (e.g., "Soups" under "Appetizers"). Proper categorization makes it easier for customers to browse your menu and for you to manage your inventory.

How-To Guide

  1. Navigate to the 'Catalog' section in the sidebar and select 'Categories'.
  2. Click the "Create Category" button.
  3. In the form, enter the Name (English) for your new category (e.g., "Desserts").
  4. Optionally, provide a Name (Arabic) for internationalization.
  5. If this is a sub-category, select a Parent Category from the dropdown.
  6. You can upload an Image for the category or paste an image URL.
  7. Set the Availability for the category (e.g., "Use Simple Timings" or "Set Custom per Day").
  8. Ensure "Set as Active" is toggled on if you want the category to be visible immediately.
