Overview

The Tappya dashboard is organised into a left-hand sidebar (your main navigation), a top header (account, help, AI assistant, notifications), and the page area itself. This guide walks through what's in each section so you can find features quickly.

The Sidebar

The sidebar is grouped into clusters. What you see depends on the modules your account has enabled and your user permissions — some sections appear only for accounts on certain plans or in specific countries (for example, the Compliance section is only shown for KSA and Egypt).

Top of sidebar

• **Dashboard** — KPI overview, the page you land on after login.
• **Pulse** (sometimes labelled Brain) — AI-powered analysis workbench. Only visible if Brain is enabled for your account.
• **Analytics** — deeper reports across sales, items, and channels.
• **Sales Channels** — manage where your menus are sold (online ordering, delivery aggregators, etc.).

Catalog

Manage everything that customers can order: **Menus**, **Categories**, **Modifier Groups**, **Variant Groups**, **Items**, and the **Asset Manager** (images, videos).

Selling

Day-to-day operations: **Live Orders**, **KDS** (kitchen display), **Item Availability** (86 / un-86 items), **Call Center**, **Deliveries**.

Transactions

The historical record: **Orders**, **Payments**, **Items sold**, and **POS Sessions**.

CRM

**Customers** and **Segments**.

Table Management

**Floors** (floor plans) and **Reservations**.

Inventory

Full inventory module: **Overview**, **Inventory Items**, **Stock Levels**, **Warehouses**, **Transfers**, **Recipes**, **Production Orders**, **Stock Takes**, **Waste**, **Valuation Reports**, and **Butchery**.

Marketing

**Discounts**, **Promotions**, **Loyalty**.

Purchasing

**Overview**, **Suppliers**, **Purchase Orders**, **Goods Receipts**, **Bills**.

Team (HRM)

**Overview**, **Team Members**, **Departments**, **Attendance**, **Time Off**, **Scheduling**, **Payroll**, **Performance** (Goals, Assessments).

Finance (Accounting)

**Overview**, **Journals**, **Journal Entries**, **Payables**, **Receivables**, **Partners**, **Reports**.

Compliance

Country-specific tax compliance: **Overview**, **Devices**, **Transactions**, **Configuration**. Only shown for KSA (SA) and Egypt (EG) tenants.

Bottom of sidebar

• **Menu Links** — public menu URLs and QR codes.
• **Apps Marketplace** — installable integrations.
• **Tools** — AI Item Image Generator, Pro Image Studio.
• **Integrations** — third-party connections.
• **Settings** — account, branches, taxes, devices, billing, and more.

Collapsing and pinning the sidebar

Click the menu icon at the top-left to collapse the sidebar into icons only. Hover over an icon to see its label. This is useful on smaller screens or when you need more page real-estate.

The Header

In the top bar you'll find:

• **Page title** for the current screen.
• **Help icon** — opens the contextual help panel for whichever screen you're on. The article you're reading right now is shown here.
• **AI Assistant button** — opens the side panel that lets you ask Tappya AI for help.
• **Notifications** — alerts about orders, low stock, system events.
• **Your avatar** — profile, switch language (English / Arabic), light/dark theme, sign out.

Switching language and direction

Open your avatar menu in the top-right and pick a language. Tappya is fully bilingual; switching to Arabic also flips the layout to right-to-left.

Keyboard shortcut: global search

Press the search shortcut shown in the header (typically `Ctrl/Cmd + K`) to open the global search. From here you can jump directly to any item, customer, order, or settings page by typing its name.

Key Concepts

• **Sidebar**: Primary navigation, grouped by domain.
• **Permission-gated items**: Some sidebar entries are hidden if your user role doesn't include the relevant permission.
• **Plan-gated items**: Some sidebar entries (e.g. Brain / Pulse, Compliance, advanced HRM) only appear on plans that include them.
• **Contextual help**: The help icon in the header opens the article relevant to the screen you're on right now.
